Happy Labor Day weekend!!  Holidays always mean potlucks or other family gatherings and most involve food, family and FUN!!  I will let you take care of the latter, but first on the list-FOOD-can make us a little nervous when we are on a journey toward a healthier self.  This does not have to be the case! My go-to dish is a salad!

Plenty of people love salad, and salad can be fun to make, you can make it with so many variations–AND it’s healthier.  It also allows you to be certain to have a really good choice-one you can start with so that you only leave a little room for the ‘treats’ you really want to try (that others have contributed).

I love my Salad Spinner-purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond!

One of the ways I make salad prep easier is to use my SALAD SPINNER.  (picture tutorial below)  It gets the salad super clean and spins off almost all of the moisture.  I store it in the same container, which consists of a plastic outer bowl and an inner colander.  This allows cold air to flow around the lettuce and keeps it fresh for almost a week!!  Think of how much easier this would make your life-make salad one day and be able to eat it all week long!

To make it even sweeter, my next BFF reward is going to be a FREE Salad Spinner-stay tuned for details next week–

Have a fabulous holiday weekend!! your bff
