Anyone who has seen the movie ‘Groundhog Day’ or the more recent ‘Edge of Tomorrow’ knows that re-living a day over and over, even vicariously, can get pretty annoying.  We are encouraged as the heroes in these movies learn new things about themselves and hopefully improve their chances for success as they move through the repetitions.  This is a lot like anyone on a journey toward a healthier lifestyle.  We often start, progress, struggle, progress, quit and start over. We, too, learn more about ourselves as we live through the repetitions –however, what we really want is long-term success. Unlike the day Bill Murray and Tom Cruise experience, our Journey to Better Health-NEVER ENDS.

That is why I strive to help people, particularly my clients, find the path that fits them best.  It will not completely eliminate the possibility of having to go back to the beginning or repeat the process, but what they learn will make it easier to return to the journey and have lasting success.  I have known lots of people who have ‘fallen off’ or hit the pause button in their journey and have had to dig deep to return to the dedication and commitment it takes to get back on track.  Today, that’s me.

Here is our ‘before’ picture! See the banner above for the ‘after’!

Because we have been a little off track, and are a little older, and have health issues that have popped up recently, I am making the commitment (publicly) to getting my family back on track.  Some of you may know that my husband and I started our weight-loss/ healthy lifestyle journey a long time ago (about 11 years).  We lost significant amounts of weight by following the South Beach Diet and followed that with a healthier and more active lifestyle.  We are doing well, however, we are living proof that the journey never ends. So, join me as we endeavor to regain some ground, this time with the DASH Diet as our resource. It has been rated the #1 Diet for at least the last 2 years.   I still love the South Beach and Quick and Clean Diet Plans, but we are opting for a new guide, mainly so I can share what I learn with you!

So, stick around and hopefully you can gain something positive that will help you in your journey of ‘Making Better Choices for a Healthy Lifestyle’!
