After a really good conversation today with a client, I felt compelled to make sure that those of you who noted the transformation photos posted last week understand that the lifestyle changes I made were all about nutrition, initially. 

In 2004 my journey began and for the first 4 months (35#) it was all about the food. Better food choices, smaller portions, fewer and better snacks and LOTS of willpower as well as family support. 

Exercise came later and it wasn’t until 2013 that I REALLY learned how to make it all work together to gain muscle and lose body fat. For the last seven years I have used my own experiences, and yes, been a guinea pig for my clients’ well- being, to gain an understanding of what it takes to live a healthy lifestyle. 

I DO NOT know everything, and the more I learn, I realize the less I know. However, I do know this….YOU have to really want this, and YOU have to make the CHOICES and put away the EXCUSES. Only YOU can get this done, FOR YOU!

I lost an additional 10# and that is where my ‘happy place’ is. I am currently in a re-set mode, several things have contributed to straying from that happy place lately, and I am determined to reclaim the strength and fitness (spirit, mind and body) that has slipped a bit. 

The Battle is often won in this journey, but it is never DONE!
