Help with Hacking your Habits

Good Monday Morning!!  I just returned from a weekend with my family….so fun, but so difficult to stay on track with my food and exercise!!  (And it’s just the beginning of the ‘holiday season’!?) It made me think about how important it is to move into the holidays with a plan.  Lots of people choose to wait until after the holidays to think about their health, making those New Year’s resolutions that typically don’t stick. I think it would be so much better to START the holiday season with some new habits (or resolutions) in place so we can avoid some of the choices that contribute to the need for a major overhaul in January.

I LOVE spending time with family-but it can be hard to make good choices unless you already have healthy habits!

That’s why I am committing to the HABIT of posting every day, to give you 21 days of Healthy Habit Hacks.  Research suggests that it takes about 21 days of practicing something to make it a part of your routine or habits. That means that by Thanksgiving you will have 21 ideas/strategies for adopting habits to support ‘Better Choices for a Healthier Lifestyle’! You can pick any one (or all of them!) and by the New Year you will be ahead of the game!  You will have healthy habits already established which will allow you to avoid that overwhelming feeling of the post-holiday guilt.
